Artificial Intelligence Use Policy

The Global University Journal of Applied Sciences is committed to the principles of academic integrity and transparency in scholarly publishing, while also recognizing the rapid development of generative artificial intelligence tools. Accordingly, the journal adopts the following policy regarding the use of these tools in the preparation of scientific research.

Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools in Research Preparation

Researchers are permitted to use artificial intelligence tools to support certain technical aspects of research preparation, such as:

  • Linguistic proofreading and stylistic correction.
  • Improving the language formulation of texts.
  • Assisting in organizing ideas or summarizing texts.
  • Assisting in translating texts.

However, the scientific content, ideas, and analysis must remain entirely the responsibility of the researcher.

Scientific Responsibility

The researcher bears full responsibility for:

  • The accuracy of the information contained in the research.
  • The validity of scientific analysis and conclusions.
  • The integrity of citations and references.

It is not permitted to rely on artificial intelligence tools for:

  • Producing unverified research results.
  • Creating fabricated data or references.
  • Writing the entire research without genuine scholarly oversight by the researcher.

Disclosure of AI Use

If artificial intelligence tools are used in preparing the research, the researcher must clearly disclose this in a dedicated section at the end of the article titled:

AI Disclosure Statement

Example:

The researcher used an artificial intelligence tool to assist with linguistic proofreading and language refinement, without any involvement in scientific analysis or results.

Artificial Intelligence and Authorship

No artificial intelligence tool may be listed as a co-author of the research, as authors must bear legal and academic responsibility for the published work.

Content Screening

The journal reserves the right to:

  • Use plagiarism detection software.
  • Use tools to detect AI-generated content when necessary.

If misuse of these tools is proven, the journal has the right to reject or retract the research in accordance with established publication ethics policies.
