Publication Ethics Policy

The International University Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities is committed to the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical scientific publishing in accordance with the principles established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The journal seeks to ensure transparency and credibility at all stages of the publication process.

Authors’ Responsibilities

Authors are required to:

  • Submit original research that has not been previously published or submitted for publication in another journal.

  • Fully adhere to research ethics and academic integrity.

  • Properly cite and reference all sources used in the research.

  • Avoid all forms of plagiarism or data manipulation.

  • Clearly acknowledge the contributions of all individuals who participated in the research.

  • Disclose any potential Conflict of Interest.

  • Cooperate with reviewers and the editorial board by making the required revisions.

Reviewers’ Responsibilities

Reviewers are expected to:

  • Evaluate manuscripts objectively and impartially.

  • Maintain the confidentiality of all information related to the manuscripts under review.

  • Provide clear and constructive academic feedback to improve the quality of the research.

  • Report any similarities, plagiarism, or unreferenced citations detected in the manuscript.

  • Decline the review process in case of any conflict of interest.

Editorial Responsibilities

The Editorial Board is responsible for:

  • Making publication decisions based solely on the scientific merit and academic value of the manuscript without discrimination.

  • Ensuring fairness, transparency, and integrity in the peer review process.

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of information related to authors and reviewers.

  • Addressing any complaints or concerns regarding academic misconduct seriously.

  • Taking appropriate action in cases of plagiarism or research misconduct.

Plagiarism

All manuscripts submitted to the journal are subject to plagiarism screening using similarity detection software.

If plagiarism or unethical citation is confirmed:

  • The manuscript will be rejected immediately.

  • The author will be notified of the reason for rejection.

  • Appropriate academic actions may be taken if necessary.

Retraction and Correction

The journal reserves the right to:

  • Retract a published article if a serious scientific error or ethical violation is discovered.

  • Publish a correction if unintentional errors are identified after publication.
