Artificial Intelligence (AI) Use Policy

The International University Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities is committed to the principles of scientific integrity and transparency in academic publishing. At the same time, the journal recognizes the rapid development of generative artificial intelligence tools. Accordingly, the journal adopts the following policy regarding the use of such tools in the preparation of scientific research.

Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools in Research Preparation

Researchers may use artificial intelligence tools to support certain technical aspects of research preparation, such as:

  • Language proofreading and stylistic correction.

  • Improving the linguistic clarity and wording of the text.

  • Assisting in organizing ideas or summarizing texts.

  • Assisting in translating texts.

However, the scientific content, ideas, analysis, and conclusions must remain entirely the responsibility of the researcher.

Scientific Responsibility

The researcher bears full responsibility for:

  • The accuracy of the information presented in the research.

  • The validity of the scientific analysis and conclusions.

  • The correctness of citations and references.

Artificial intelligence tools must not be used to:

  • Generate unsupported or unverified research results.

  • Create fabricated data or non-existent references.

  • Produce the entire research paper without genuine academic supervision and intellectual contribution from the researcher.

Disclosure of AI Use

If artificial intelligence tools are used in the preparation of the research, the author must clearly disclose this in a dedicated section at the end of the article entitled:

AI Disclosure

Example:
“The author used an artificial intelligence tool to assist with language proofreading and improving the clarity of the text, without any involvement in the scientific analysis or research results.”

Artificial Intelligence and Authorship

Artificial intelligence tools cannot be listed as co-authors of a research paper, since authorship requires legal and academic responsibility for the published work.

Content Screening

The journal reserves the right to:

  • Use plagiarism detection software to screen submitted manuscripts.

  • Use tools designed to detect AI-generated content when necessary.

If misuse of these tools is confirmed, the journal reserves the right to reject or retract the manuscript in accordance with its established publication ethics policies.
